HPE GreenLake Healthcare Executive Strategist, HPE
Steven Shim, a HPE GreenLake Healthcare Executive Strategist, is a long term Health Information Technology professional and innovator who has served in numerous executive and leadership roles for hospital systems and integrated networks. As the Chief Technology Officer for Greenville Health System, he achieved Stage 7 adoption levels of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and accomplished this on a scale unique to the healthcare industry. His early adoption of hybrid cloud strategies paved the way for innovative managed service offerings such as EHR as a Service.
He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Clemson University and a BS in Engineering from the University of Central Florida. He has chaired and served on executive advisory boards for UCF Department of Health Management and Informatics and is a former member of the Health Information Management System Society Executive Institute. Steve has co-authored case studies published in “Cases on Healthcare Information Technology for Patient Care Management” and is an alumni of Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Award.
